WHAT’S AN EDUCATIONAL SURROGATE PARENT (ESP)?
An ESP is a trained volunteer who:
• Attends IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
• Reviews educational records and evaluations
• Makes informed decisions for the student
• Advocates for services and supports under IDEA
