9th Annual Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) Showcase

This event focuses on the CtLC framework, a person-centered approach designed to help individuals, families, programs, and systems explore, plan, and problem-solve for positive change. Attendees, including staff from Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center (FMPTIC), will engage in hands-on learning opportunities, practical strategies, and collaborative discussions to enhance their implementation of CtLC in supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.

Key Learning Opportunities for FMPTIC Staff:
Pre-Showcase Intensives (April 29) – In-depth sessions covering:
CtLC Person-Centered Fundamentals – Core principles of the CtLC framework.
Supported Decision-Making, Alternatives to Guardianship, and Dignity of Risk – Strategies to promote self-determination.
Family Caregiver, Respite, and Charting My Family’s Perspective – Enhancing family well-being.
CtLC Meeting Facilitator Badge Training – FMPTIC staff will complete this specialized training to become Certified CtLC Meeting Facilitators.
Keynote Sessions and Breakouts (April 30 – May 1) – Participants will attend a variety of sessions focused on applying CtLC tools in real-world settings.
Through this experience, FMPTIC staff will be earning their CtLC Facilitator Badge, further equipping them to guide families and professionals in using CtLC tools to support transition planning, goal setting, and self-advocacy.
