Charting My Course: My Life, My Voice, Building an Interdependent Life
Charting My Course: My Life, My Voice is a monthly self-advocacy series designed for transition-age youth and young adults with disabilities. The series helps participants build the skills and confidence to have a stronger voice in decisions about their lives while recognizing that adulthood does not mean having to do everything alone.
Participants will explore interdependence—learning how to make choices, communicate their wants and needs, identify strengths, solve problems, access community resources, and build a network of people and supports that can help them reach their goals.
Each session will highlight a Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) tool or
concept and include interactive activities, real-life scenarios, and opportunities to practice self-advocacy. Guest speakers, including young adult self-advocates and community partners, will be invited throughout the series.
