Family Matters PTIC invites parents and caregivers of children and youth with disabilities to participate in a Community Listening Session focused on navigating special education supports across Illinois. FMPTIC will host several Community Listening Sessions over the next 12 months.
Registration is currently open for our second event on March 6 from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. at St. Clair County Regional Office of Education (1000 S. Illinois Street, Belleville, IL 62220)
our input will help guide FMPTIC’s future trainings, resources, and family supports. Please note you must be the parent or guardian of a current student receiving Special Education services in Illinois to participate.
This Interactive Session Is An Opportunity To...
-Share your experiences navigating special education,
-Talk about what supports are working—and where challenges exist
-Identify learning and support needs for families
-Help shape how a Parent Training and Information Center (PTIC) can best support families and strengthen collaboration with school teams
